The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of claiming to be fighting corruption while at the same time shielding some officers involved in alleged corruption.
The party made the allegation on Monday, September 4, in relation t series of allegations levelled against the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris, by the Senator representing Bauchi Central, Isah Misau.
We gathered that Senator Misau, a former police officer, had accused the police boss of collecting bribes from some officers before they were promoted.
The senator alleged that Idris was also collecting bribes from oil companies before posting police officers to them to provide security.
However, the police authority responded by declaring the senator a deserter, saying Misau forged his retirement letter from the force.
But the PDP in a series of tweets, described the silence of the federal government on the allegations against the Idris as worrisome.
The party said the N120bn fraud allegation against the IG of police was too weighty and called for the police authority to purge itself of the accusation.
According to the PDP, the sudden realisation that Senator Misau is a deserter further exposes the complicity of the police force on this matter.
The PDP stated that the allegations against the IGP must not be swept under the carpet by the APC like the ones against the EFCC acting chairman, Magu, and others.see How I Increased my Manhod Size & Stopped Premature Ejaculation That almost Scattered My Relationship.. Click HERE For Details.
