A report by Daily Post indicates that a former member of the House of Representatives, Honourable Olufemi Onimole is dead.
The late former lawmaker was said to have died on Saturday, August 27 in a London hospital at the age 61. The report was however silent on the cause of the former lawmaker’s death.
Late Honourable Onimole was elected to represent Ifako Ijaiye Federal Constituency in Lagos state between 1999 and 2003 on the platform of the Alliance for Democracy (AD).
He was re-elected into the lower house in 2003 but defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) afterwards. His attempt for a third term in the House of Representatives was not successful as he lost the 2007 election.
His attempt to overturn the result failed at the Election Petition Tribunal and the Appeal Court. Before his foray into lawmaking, Late Onimole was the vice chairman of the old Agege local government area.
